Okay, so the latest run-down involves two new games:
- EyeCandy: Chromadose (created by Polychrome)
- Whack Em in a Hole (created by Thomas Woo)
EyeCandy: Chromadose is another screensaver style game that is not much of a game. The visuals are randomized each time which is good, but there is no game play. Colors of the randomized visuals are randomized as well and they look good.
Final Verdict: If you want a screen saver for your Xbox 360, EyeCandy: Chromadose delivers. If not, this game is not worth the 200 Microsoft Points.
Whack Em in a Hole is a classic carnival game that tasks the player with beating moles. The graphics are okay at first, but the game play is not. Destroying moles in not fun at all and their death is just as lame. They just disappear. Destroying them requires pressing the button that corresponds with their hole (A, X, Y, B). This sounds simple right? Not at first. The buttons dont show on the screen so it is hard figuring out what button corresponds with what hole, even after the “How to Play” section. If you manage to keep playing on all difficulties, you can unlock new modes.
Final Verdict: Whack Em in a Hole is not worth paying 200 Microsoft Points when a better game is available. The concept was good, but not implemented very well. A better game in this style is Rabid Gophers (created by Quantum Squid Interactive) which offers gopher killing using shotguns, bombs, and sniper rifles. It also has online leaderboards!
